Grim Tides tries to blend tabletop RPG vibes, familiar dungeon crawling and roguelike mechanics, and a classic turn-based combat system into an accessible and entertaining package. Because of its attention to written storytelling, detailed worldbuilding and abundance of lore, Grim Tides can be similar to a solo Dungeons and Dragons campaign, or even a choose your own adventure book.

Grim Tides is a single player game and can be played offline. It has no lootboxes, energy bars, overpriced cosmetics, content locked behind endless microtransactions, or other modern monetization schemes. Just some unobtrusive ads, permanently removable with a one-time purchase, and completely optional goodies for those who wish to support the game and its development even further.

The full game is no longer pay-walled behind a purchase. Instead, Grim Tides is now free with occasional ads, with a similarly priced one-time purchase to get rid of ads completely and permanently. The Full Game purchase translates to No Ads purchase for everyone who bought it so far.

Great game

Fun time, with plenty of content. Especially for the price, this is pretty fleshed out

Excellent game

Fun and enjoyable. Nice dungeon crawler.

Decent dungeon crawler for downtime

Good fun when travelling and you want something to fill the time. Combat is a bit samey but the expedition prep and downtime back at homebase is a hood gameplay loop regardless. I recommend it
