We’re flipping the switch on some shiny new features! Whether you’re a seasoned Member or just browsing the glow-up, this update brings clarity, color, and a few surprises. Here’s what’s lighting up the latest version:
Updated switch editor
Our switch editor just got a glow-up! No more messy action selection - in the new wizard, everything is now sorted by type and action, which guides you sleek and easy through the process.
The updates in many details, like improved tutorials, around it make it a smoother, brighter experience for everyone - and for free!
New switch actions
We've taught your switches new tricks - and they're brilliant:
• Set color for single lights
• Adjust brightness for single lights
• Let single lights blink
• Adjust the color temperature relatively (Pro)
• Stop Hue Entertainment
• Group blink now works with most other group actions (Free!)
Everything is easily accessible through our new action editor, and we're thinking about adding setup wizards in the future, based on your feedback. Also available for coming/leaving actions.

Easter scenes

Please try restarting your iPhone. If the problem persists and it doesn't reappear, check if it can be added again.

De eneste medfølgende funktioner er dem som også er inkluderet i hues egen app, her er de bare endnu mere komplicerede.
Det værste er dog at alt inde i appen koster ekstra, de fede funktioner som gør appen til en god tilføjelse ender med at koste dig op til 19 kr. Ekstra.
They got greedy
I hate membership apps. I gladly pay for the features I use. But if I paid for a feature once I’m not gonna pay for it several times. It have already paid for widgets. But after updating to IOS18 I have to pay for the same again in a diminished version. Or I can use their membership. NOT!!!
I’ve been using this app for years but now I’m definitely looking for an alternative.

thank you for using iConnectHue over the years and for sharing your feedback.
We understand that you’re frustrated with the shift to membership options, but we want to clarify a few points to avoid misunderstandings.
1. You mention that you’ve "already paid for widgets," but please keep in mind that you purchased the classic widget support, but never the Home Widgets - which were not part of the app when you purchased it.
We introduced them 4 months ago as an addition to the classic widgets, and it is standard practice in the software industry that updates are being paid for - because people actually have to work on it to make them possible!
2. Apple removed the classic widgets with iOS 18 — not us. We had no control over this decision, and unfortunately, it means that the widgets you originally paid for are no longer supported. We’ve developed new Home Widgets to replace them, which took us months of work. This new development is not the same as what you originally paid for, and it’s fair for us to ask for compensation for that work.
3. You do not need a membership to use widgets. With the 2024 Upgrade, you can use a small and medium-sized Home Widget without any membership required. Membership is there for users who need more flexibility and advanced features.
Also note that this information has been available in our news about the Home Widget update (5.5, you can still read it in the app store app update news list) 4 months ago, and is available in our app as well.
We would like to ask you to read available information, and if you have open questions, simply contact our support team from the app instead.
We appreciate that you prefer one-time payments, but ongoing development, updates, and support require continuous funding. We’re one of the most affordable Hue apps, and our memberships are priced to ensure we can keep offering the highest quality experience. Without sustainable revenue, it would be impossible to maintain the app or provide future updates.
Please consider this information, and we hope you’ll reconsider your review - you're essentially punishing us - who did their part and provided an alternative - for getting our work paid. Without our work getting paid, there would have been no Home Widget support at all. Be fair to us: We need to get our work paid as do you - are you "greedy" because you get your monthly wage? Why would you assume that we are, then?Punishing us and the app for just having our work done with such a review doesn't help anybody of us.
