Loopy Pro is a live-looper. And a sampler. And a sequencer. And a very capable AUv3 Audio Unit host. And a DAW. And an AUv3 Audio Unit.

You get the idea. Loopy Pro is deep. But it's also designed to be friendly, and a great deal of fun.

You can set up Loopy Pro to work however you do, with features like hands-free looping with count-in, count-out and automatic loop detection; or "free" looping, where you can choose on-the-fly how long to make loops. There's even retrospective recording, where you can lock in a loop after the fact.

There's extensive MIDI controller support, including built-in support for the Launchpad, the APC40 mk2 and the MIDI Fighter Twister, and effortless MIDI Learn for setting up your controllers.

You can also drag-and-drop audio straight onto loops in Loopy Pro, with sophisticated tempo and pitch adjustments, and use Loopy Pro as a clip launcher, with all kinds of options for song sectioning.

The built-in mixer lets you set up insert and send effects for every channel in your project, and load AUv3 Audio Unit instruments, effects, and MIDI sequencers.

And there's a built-in sequencer, for arranging songs, and even performing them live, totally automated and hands-free.

- Fixed issue with binding impulse actions, where hold/on-off actions were bound instead of impulse ones
- Fixed an issue that could cause an AUv3 crash
- Fixed a crash in preset action configuration
- Fixed “Simultaneous Recording” override at clip level

Changes in 1.1.20:

- Added new Save/Restore parameter actions, to store values of selected parameters, and recall them later. Even works across multiple plugins. Preset morphing!
- Added new “Toggle Sequence” action: Turn the sequence on or off, with the option to resume at prior playback position. Great for pausing a sequenced session for a jam, then jumping back into the sequence after.
- Added “Individual Outputs” option for session recording: Record your output channels separately.
- Added continuous adjustment of clock phase, via Phase Align Clock action: Move the downbeat around, relative to your playing loops.
- Added thumbnail icons for projects
- Added support for 3FH/41H (midpoint 64) relative CC encoding (used by MIDI Fighter Twister, for example)
- Added work-around for an iOS bug that reports incorrect number of audio interface input/output channels

There is so much you can do!

One star, sorry

I granted your app with one star only. Why? Because you lied to me. I downloaded your app and it turned out that I can’t do literally anything with the app until I buy it. It’s such a shame, because it seems to be a good app. Please, do consider whether making your app paid from the beginning or keep the free version but let potential users do something with it.

You just need to start the trial, Roman – it doesn't happen automatically (that's a limitation imposed by the App Store). The text in the app should explain that clearly, but maybe you tapped through it without reading. Just tap the "Trial" button to begin. Reach out if you have trouble, I'm michael@atastypixel.com

A deep and healthy sea of possibilities

This app makes you feel welcome. Somehow it is like is a deep warm sea of endless possibilities while a shore of comfort is not far away, case you loose sight of what you are doing.

Comprehensive enough to start anything, yet advanced enough to provide more than enough to build out an interesting sound scape or a snappy song.

Record your self singing or playing into a loop or two - maybe with a Tula microphone, and then add a Euclidian sequencer to trigger random notes of an instance of Strng.
