Retro is a weekly photo journal that (1) brings you closer to the people you actually care about and (2) helps you appreciate your own life - all without hijacking your time and attention.

So dust off those photos that are just sitting in your camera roll and spread some joy in the world.

- EASY TO START: Start by choosing photos you’ve already taken and backfill the weeks on your profile with the photos and videos you want to remember.

- NO PRESSURE: Everything was designed with your comfort in mind. Your friend list is private. Likes on your posts are private. No captions required. Update any part of your profile anytime.

- PRINT & SHIP POSTCARDS: Spread some joy through snail mail by printing your photo as a high quality postcard and sending it to anyone in the world via USPS first class. Free for now.

- MONTHLY RECAPS: Create a beautiful photo collage or video slideshow from the photos you’ve shared from the week, month, or year. Then share via text or Instagram in a tap.

- GROUP JOURNALS: Start a private journal and drop the link in your group chat to collect and share photos after events. Perfect for parties, projects, friends, parents, and couples.

- GROUP MESSAGING: Retro is now an all-in-one home for groups large and small, with the ability to share photos, videos, and notes privately in Journals and start group chats in Messages.

Major Postcards Update! We finally made it as easy to mail a photo as it is to text a photo. Now you can:
- Send postcards without sharing addresses. So you don’t have to remember your friend’s address and you can keep yours private.
- See all past postcard orders from your profile.
- Quickly send to addresses you’ve used before.

You can now also save all photos from a single journal in bulk instead of one-by-one.

Last but not least…a shiny new icon!

Best social app. Period.

Downloaded Retro because of a tweet I randomly came across. Since then it’s been me and my family’s favorite app by far. I use it to easily share pictures of my daughter and now get to see pictures and weekly stories from my parents I otherwise would have never seen or heard about. Can’t think of a better way to stay up to date on what my family and friends are up to. 10/10!
