Beskrivelse

This simulator will give you a realistic experience of what it's like to handle a large ship. It includes some features which often seem to be missing in other simulators:
- Astern effect of the propeller
- Drift during turn
- Pivot point movement
- Rudder effectiveness based on propeller flow and ship's own velocity
- Bow thruster effectiveness influenced by ship's velocity

For the moment there are three ships (cargo ship, supply ship and battle ship). In the future more may be added.

The game is played in a sandbox style with a sea, river and port environment and customisable current. I plan to also add wind effect.

The simulation is based on the mathematical hydrodynamic MMG model which is also used in professional ship handling and mooring simulators.

Version 0.18

- Added wind effect (experimental). You can adjust wind direction and force in the settings menu ("Restart / Change ship"). The wind generates a turning moment towards it and a displacement force away from it. Both of these effects are influenced by the shape of the ship's superstructure.
- Increased UI buttons sensitivity for improved usability on small screens

Seams like this is not correct in the cruse ship turning opposite rudders instead of moving “sideways”

True to life

As a mate by profession I can honestly say the maneuvering characteristics in this little game is extremely close to real life! The scale of the ships vs surroundings is off and I’d love to have the opportunity to berth the ship with lines and fenders etc. Regardless this is a hidden gem <3
