We’ve rebuilt our login system for a more seamless and secure experience, including a quick and easy option to sign in without a password. However, during this update, WeChat login was temporarily affected. If you use WeChat to log in, please make sure to update to this version.

You can now join a SmartShanghai WeChat group directly from our app! Just head to your MySmSh page and check out the new Subscriptions section.

In that same section, you can now manage your subscriptions to SmartShanghai’s curated, spam-free newsletters.

We’ve also redesigned the Events landing page, making it easier than ever to explore our extensive, curated events calendar.

For venue listings, we now indicate if a venue is closed for holidays or special events—provided they inform us.

Plus, we’ve squashed a bunch of bugs. Wait, 20 years in and we still got bugs?

Easy and very useful

Have now been using it for about 2 years now. It is reliable and very useful. The addresses updates and I haven't had problems with the use. The descriptions of restaurants are fine, but have often a commercial PR content.

Doesn't work on IOS8 !?

...and it won't save "Your Favourites", so this feature has no value.

Not worth the money!

Bad locationbased service, not interactive in terms of showing best e.g dinning vs location vs type. No hotels or sights of interests etc. Unless some serious updates provided this app isn't worth the money.
