Works, but lacks options

It works, but a simple feature like only seeing when someone opens or closes a door drowns in a lot of notifications about the door being open. I’m sure someone needs that feature, but for some who doesn’t, this is crazy annoying

Don’t buy Yale smart lock. Too buggy!

Honestly don’t buy the Yale smart lock. It is too buggy, have many issues and there is always some kind of trouble with it. It is either unstable in connection or having trouble keeping track of when the smart lock was opened and locked via the Yale app. The support team is probably monitored by Ai, with pretty much same answers to every customer complaint. Very disappointed, especially considering the high price of the Yale smart lock. There are better and cheaper alternatives out there. Just look at the Aqara Smart Lock U200. Don’t just take my words for it, make your own research.

First of, they took out the 10 digit access code and changed it to 6 digits. This is very low security, and Yale are supposedly high in security. That’s counterintuitive. Second, creating/inviting new members to the lock, only works if you don’t pick someone from your phone book. The activity log is not accurate enough. It doesn’t register ALL activity like “door opened”, after “unlocking” it. It only register that sometimes. Not good enough. Please, you have an app for security / people’s homes. You need better app developers, please hire the best and pay them what they ask for. It’s not good enough now. You need to be better. You need to be the best for people to trust your security by keeping their families safe.
