WHAT’S NEW IN THIS VERSION:

WELCOMING NEW USERS

Building on our last release, we’ve introduced guided onboarding and informational modals to give new users a smoother, more intuitive introduction to HOOPT. At the final step, we invite users to explore Connections, where they can privately say hi to friends or communities who introduced them to HOOPT. This brings us closer to our full HOOPT BETA to App Store transition of invite-only HOOPT membership, reinforcing that, as a HOOPTer, this is your network, and you decide how it grows.

SPOTLIGHT SEARCH

Our ultimate goal at HOOPT is to empower you with a powerful, modern-day compass: a privately connected ecosystem where what you need is just a tap away. With Spotlight search on iPhone, you don’t even need to open the HOOPT App—simply swipe down, type a friend’s name or community, and quickly send a message or access all your automated lists and collected items, right when you need them.

WELCOME HOOPT ANIMATIONS

We’re excited to introduce our first wave of animations! To celebrate your ‘wanna’ and ‘loved it’ actions, we’ve added delightful animations that bring your icons to life. Reactions in the activity feed, message responses, and our onboarding screens also have a fresh sparkle. Stay tuned for more fun features—let us know what else you’d love to see animated!

LOOKING AHEAD TO THE REST OF 2024

We’re planning two more updates this year. The next, in November, will activate invite-only HOOPT membership, along with enhancements to connections epic and chat functions, plus deeper iOS & iShare integration. If all goes well, new platform releases are on the horizon for December, pending quality approvals.

HOOPT+ users can also look forward to quick, personalized collection list creation—think of it as your own Spotify like “playlists” for life, with easy sharing options across platforms like WhatsApp (e.g., My Go-to Spots in Los Angeles, 2025 Reading List).
