Who said dynamic programming has to be theoretical and boring. Not here, with String Alignment you can learn the Needleman-Wunsch algorithm in an ad-free and visually interesting manner. This app allows you to see the algorithm accomplish its goal of finding the best score of aligning two substrings. The app gives you complete control of the board. You can even change the colors of the squares if the simulation is paused. If you want to try something new while in the game, all you have to do is go home.

Currently, the app features 1 Dynamic Programming Algorithm. You can change the wights of each of the 4 operation costs and customize how long of a string you want. You also get simulation speed control & fully customizable gameboard colors. All of this and more with String Alignment.

Versión 1.1

I added sound to the visualization. There is now a counter on the bottom left of the visualization screen that counts the 4 operation types.

Bugs were squashed in the making of this release.
