Feel like destroying some castles today? Well you’re in luck! In Castle Crush, you’ll assemble a battle deck of warriors, monsters and spells to take into combat against players from around the world. Be warned: it won’t be easy. Here are a few tips to win every fight. Let’s go!
1. The basics
Every time you win a battle, you’ll be rewarded with a chest. These chests unlock at various time intervals, showering you with combinations of cards, coins and gems. You also have a Victory Chest, which you can unlock every eight wins, but only once a day. Free chests unlock roughly every three and a half hours. The key to all of this, especially when starting out, is to try to battle as often as you can to get a good collection of chests to unlock. The more chests you get, the more cards, gold and gems you’ll get, which you can use to upgrade your cards to higher levels.
2. Build the ideal deck
The key to building the perfect deck is figuring out which cards work best for you. Read each card’s description and try them out in battle. There are over 40, each with unique abilities, so have some fun trying them all until you have the right mix of cards. You’ll want both melee and long-range attackers, cards with high health (your “meat shields”), cards who are fast and can catch your enemy off-guard, and lastly a spell or two that has an instant impact on the battlefield.
3. Plan upgrades in advance
As you play, start figuring out which cards you want to upgrade. Early on, cards are cheap to upgrade, so it’s a no-brainer to do them all. But at higher levels, the cost goes way up. Plan the order of your upgrades in advance, then save up your gold and focus on upgrading one card at time; you’ll maximise your deck and reach new trophy levels!
4. Win battles
The rules are dead simple. Destroy your opponent’s castle to win. However, to win you’ve got to manage your Mana. The little energy meter ticking up during battle, your Mana Meter, governs how you deploy cards in the game. The capacity of your Mana Meter increases as the battle wages on, making battles more interesting the longer they go. You’ll want to gather enough Mana to create a good push against your enemy. What we like to do is drop melee or high health troops to lead the charge (think Golem, Dwarf, Warrior), followed by ranged or splash troops (like Pirate, Archers and Mage) and use your spells to back you up as you push toward your opponent’s castle. Don’t forget to defend incoming attacks and keep a watchful eye on all three lanes during battle.
5. Join a clan
Once you hit Level 3, join a clan. You’ll meet new players, share tips, donate and request cards to speed up your upgrades. You’ll now have a common goal: competing to be the top in the world! Because of course, the enemy of your enemy just might be your friend.
