I love Evernote. Besides their logo being an elephant, they sync great, have access to online notes, and I love choosing which files show up on which computer. I use the app on all of my devices (paid version), use it for work and personal note taking, as well as for my recipe book. It is easy to clip notes from the web and save them. Easy to search and while I don’t personally use them, people swear by tags. I’ve been a customer since 2013 and will probably be forever.

I've been using this app for more than 10 years, but their new aggressive marketing made me delete my account and leave. When I needed to quickly check my notes, I couldn't even do that because of the endless banners demanding that I buy a subscription. It's disgusting. I don't mind paying for apps I like, but this app has only gotten worse, and it's become impossible to use. I don't see any benefits or conveniences worth paying for.
Terrible marketing decision

As I am writing (13 September 2024) Evernote has further restricted its free license by only allowing ONE connected device at a time! This is little more than a joke in bad taste, and makes the app's value drop. I wish Evernote's marketing will go back on this decision, which both alienates and insults users.
New features:
- Mermaid diagrams are now available in the editor: you can create flowcharts and sequences from text using the Mermaid syntax.
- You can now get AI suggested titles to help you stay organized. Just a quick reminder: your note should have some content so we can come up with the best title for you.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed AI titles being applied to the wrong note.
- Fixed editor dropdowns shifting while scrolling.
- Fixed a crash when opening the table formatting bar.
