Ratings and Reviews
Fine, but...
The app itself is fine in my opinion, but I wish you could change the gender later on. I was born one gender, but wish I was the other. I didn’t feel this way back when I was making my account, but now I do, and I can’t change the gender. I can’t make a new account either, because HT only allows one account per device.

Censorship to the max
Hellotalk used to be good app for 4-5 years ago. Now hellotalk customer service does not answer to your problems and they simply ignore you. Not only they ignore, they shadow ban accounts based on whatever reasons (they never tell you why, just come up with an excuse that you have broken some imaginary guideline what you simply can not find from anywhere). They act on reports, even if the report has no guideline rules being broken. They delete accounts as they want to. You can not find hong kong language partners from search engines. you can not find their terms & conditions or how they store/protect your information from anywhere. this is not language app. they censor all kinds of information, yet let certain nationalities speak very harsh and rude things about other countries. They control people’s accounts and change things as they want to. This app has very strong censorship on people’s accounts. you are not allowed to exchange languages but they decide that for you, what you are allowed to do in this app. i do not recommend installing it. customer service does not answer to you and they do changes without your knowledge or approval. they ask for passport picture and videos to prove your nationality (isn’t that illegal?). this is not language exchange app, if such measures are being taken. i am truly shocked how one app is allowed to act like that towards their users, who did not post anything sexual, nor were rude towards anyone or did anything what no other app allows. i deleted my account and i will never return.

Bad update
The latest update made my app weird: it deleted my profile text, name, photo, friends and old chats and it doesn't let me change anything... Help and fix this
