Create custom cleaning schedules and favourite cleaning routines. Get personalised cleaning recommendations based on what’s happening in and around your home. You can even tell your robot to clean while you’re away thanks to smart home integrations or Location Services.
INTUITIVE SMART MAPPING.
On its first run, your robot maps your home and automatically segments and labels each room for you. Further personalise your map by creating Keep Out Zones, No Mop Zones and Clean Zones that allow you to clean specific rooms and objects or tell your robot where not to clean. Powered by iRobot OS, your robot continually learns your home and offers zone recommendations for a more precise clean.

Pair your robot with Alexa, Siri or Google Assistant-enabled devices** to clean with a simple voice command. Tell it to ‘vacuum & mop the kitchen’ or ‘vacuum near the sofa’ and it goes straight into action. You can also set schedules, stop cleaning and more via voice.

Awesome new features
The app is being improved regularly to give user more flexibility and control! Love it!
Bare minumum
App is ok for starting and stopping robot. Most other advanced features are difficult to understand or give constant errors. At least with roomba j7. For example, once robot is started, its not possible to change the job. You can only pause and send home. Only when robot has returned home you can change job. Most of the maps robot creates are corrupted for some reason and when you want to look at the map after robot is finished, app just crashes without even giving an error. Not possible see progress during job, you have to send robot back home. No easy way to just send robot to saved areas, only way is to start job and them skip trough saved areas. Even tho robot has mapped some rooms, it will never visit them later when cleaning. Each job updates the map and for some reason some rooms go bigger and bigger. So i need to frequently delete the map and start over. The map should get more accurate, not less with each cleaning cycle.
Functional but missing features
Yes. It allows for remote cleaning, pausing and stopping. It also sometimes shows you where the robot thinks it went.
But there are a lot of missed opportunities.
For example, since the robot already maps the floor, why not allow me to save a mapped floor and later on tell the robot to clean a specific sector from that map?
Why is there no real time map? I would like to see where the robot thinks it’s been while it is cleaning and if the robot gets lost let me tell it where it is (my robot has gotten lost in my house a number of times).
Also, why don’t I get a map when the robot gets lost? I literally get nothing when the robot gets lost so I have no idea on what to fix in my floor layout.
