You can select the word in alphabetical order (English meanings) by clicking “words” in the menu bar. Basic everyday Wu words!

Click on the "alphabet" button in the menu bar, you can get the sound elements of the Wu language.

There are no retroflex consonants in the Wu language, like sh,tch. But it has complicated vowel system. And n, ng sounds are more subtle than those in English.

There are over 80 million people who speak the Wu language, a southeastern Chinese dialect. It is primarily spoken at home or between close friends. They speak the Common Chinese (Mandarin) when at school or doing business.
