Orcas: Private Tutoring 4+

I have worked with orcas as a tutor for a little over a year. It was an amazing opportunity for me to earn good money while studying. Also working with orcas is very flexible. You get to choose your working hours and your area.

If it wasn’t for the fact there is a good crop of tutors on their application, I would’ve given them a single star. I downloaded Orcas because I was hoping to be tutored in a language. Everything went well and began taking lessons willingly. But then I discovered how atrocious and aggressive their sales strategy is. The moment your package has ended they begin to spam you with calls and automated texts. Expect up to 6-8 calls a day from work time until 11PM from their team spamming you with calls to pay for the next round of lessons. And they use the 2 extra lessons post-package (that they don’t warn you about before the package ends!) as a means to tell you to start paying more. Then with time as you avoid their spams they start warning you with late fees and some other audacious claims (like how I have to pay the entire package just because I took the 2 additional lessons). I honestly had no problem with this application - it was me who actively sought a tutor from their platform. But their terrible sales/customer relation strategy pushed me away from them. Will never be using them again.

Take care , they asked me to make a payment for business and economics lessons I told them I only take business so they send me a link to pay , when I paid They sent me congratulations u have paid for economics. I have been trying to change it , they froze my account on business classes that my daughter actually takes as they said payment has been made for economics not business . They refuse to exchange subjects although she never took economics and then I discovered they put in some way that there is a class she took in 4 am in the morning economics which me , my daughter and even the teacher confirms never took place as which child will never take a 4am class
