Talabat: Food, grocery & more 4+

The moment u place ur order they will charge ur card. Sometimes the restaurant is not even open or they don’t have what u ordered. What do u do? U have to chat with one of their reps and ask them to refund u. And they will refund ur talbaat pay account, not ur card. U can imagine how inconvenient this is. It happened to me at least a dozen times, and this is the reason I won’t be using this app again. When u place an order on elmenus, they will wait to see if the restaurant is open first and if ur order is available, then they will charge ur card. Talbaat would be much better if they had some patience and just waited a few minutes to make sure the restaurant accepts the order before charging ppl.

Talabat was once one of my favorite food apps but now it’s the app I hate the most. I ordered something a few days ago and the order was supposed to come on Iftar time but it came a little late and it was completely wrong. The whole order was completely wrong! I chatted with customer service and they told me the restaurant will contact me and I waited an entire hour but nothing happened (mind you, we were fasting). I attempted to chat with this so called costumer service again (also having to explain the issue again and having to wait) and they told me the restaurant will contact me and I waited again. Hours passed and nothing happened and I decided that Talabat had the worst and most useless costumer Service ever. What happened is so unprofessional and till this day no one contacted me. Never using this app again. Don’t recommend because if anything is wrong with your order, it’s your own responsibility and you’ll have to deal with it on your own.

And after checking the reviews I can see that I’m not the first person to face this problem and I’m probably not the last. It’s clear how bad the Management is.

I used to use the app almost every day, till two days ago when I placed my order and waited for 70 minutes . Although, I was supposed to deliver it in 45 minutes as the app shows. However, I contacted the customer support they said they are sorry and will contact the restaurant because the restaurant is the one handling the delivery not talabat. Then informed me that i will get my order in 10 minutes which didn’t happen. I said ok. I waited for another 15 minutes but in vain. I contacted the customer support again they said they will contact the restaurant again. I told him to cancel my order if it will take more than 5 minutes to get my order. He placed me on hold to check with restaurants for the 5 minutes already. After getting back he said the restaurant will contact you and he is on the way ( the same thing i was told the first time). I asked him to cancel out of anger and told him i will never use the app again. he was like ok i will cancel without even offering a compensation without even a slightest care that i use the app almost every day and they are about to lose a loyal customer.
