Uber / أوبر- اطلب سيار‪ة‬ ‪٤+‬

I have been a loyal customer of Uber in Malaysia (before it shutdown) and Australia as well. Simply, it eases my life. However, Uber in Egypt is the worst. Maps are not updated, car quality is terrible, and most importantly responsiveness by support staff is all computerized. Keywords from complaints are selected and ready responses are sent back to clients. No matter how many times you keep replying in the same conversation thread to get tailored information, you will be getting the same response. This means that customer complaints’ are not taken seriously and Egypt team is doing just bad. Uber is popular over here, I can’t imagine the number of transactions and the business cash flow. It seems like doing great. Management should just spend some money and pay enough attention on the updates and training the support staff.

I’ve lost an item, i contacted the cx care, and there was no help at all, they keep on saying please rate our support, and actually there’s no support to rate it, not even with a one star! My item was lost with the driver on Friday March 8th at 8:00AM, i’ve spent the whooooole day staying at the same place the driver left me in, it was written that i need to wait for 24h and then they’ll be happy to jump in and help! Now we are March 10th, and it’s more than 72 hours now, there’s no help…!

You also asked me to pay triple the cost of my trip for the driver as a compensation, but honestly, you’ve wasted my time, made me cancel important appointments, i had insomnia waiting for your call, and my efficiency during my work was affected, who will compensate me for all of that….!?

If you’re reading this review, please note that if you lost an item or any incident happened with you, there will be no support and there’s nothing special about this application to pay a special cost for it, just take a normal taxi on your way that will even be faster than uber risking your time to wait for a driver to accept your request too..!

On two separate occasions this week, I noticed unauthorized charges on my debit card statement, which were directly linked to Uber Egypt trips. To my dismay, these charges were associated with trips that took place over two months ago, making it all the more alarming. As a responsible user, I have always ensured that my payment information is secure and up-to-date, making it clear that this issue lies with Uber Egypt's internal systems.

My first course of action was to reach out to UBER customer service department, hoping for a prompt and efficient resolution to this matter. However, I was met with disappointment and frustration. Despite explaining the situation and providing all the necessary details, I was informed that Uber Egypt's policy states that complaints must be submitted within 30 days from the trip date to be eligible for investigation. This arbitrary and rigid time limit is both unreasonable and unfair, as it fails to consider circumstances where issues may not be immediately apparent or detected.
