Como asociación científica, el objetivo principal de AEMIS es la formación continuada de sus asociados, para ello la nueva Junta Directiva, compuesta por un grupo de profesionales que cubre un amplio espectro geográfico, velaremos por mantener el funcionamiento de la Asociación, labor que consumirá gran parte de nuestros esfuerzos, así como llevar a cabo los nuevos retos planteados. entre los que se incluyen: Continuar impartiendo el Máster en la UCV; Mantener el modelo de cursos formativos gratuitos sobre cadáver; Implementar cursos con técnicas innovadoras en cirugía MIS. disección anatómica y técnicas de rescate; Crear un comisión de investigación vinculada a la Universidad. con un premio anual económico al mejor trabajo de investigación y poder organizar el Congreso Internacional de Cirugía MIS.
