COAF SMART Citizen 4+

COAF SMART Citizen App is an adjacent platform complementing the educational initiative implemented in the COAF SMART Center. COAF SMART educational concept rests on a social pedagogical theory promoting the education of a whole individual and focusing on cognitive affective and psychomotor development domains. The application gamifies students’ learning experience, helping them reinforce what they learned during face-to-face classes, connect their knowledge to their local, or a wider international practice. Participants see details of their personal educational path including their schedule, attendance, and performance․

Students have a chance to explore 18 different programs from 6 fields that are taught at the center. This helps them make their mind up in the process of choosing their personalized path within the quest of becoming a SMART Citizen.

To reinforce the effectiveness of personalized learning, the feedback is made easy through the messaging section of the application. Students are encouraged to communicate with their instructors, friends on a daily basis to get feedback, have fun, and learn at the same time. The well-being and educational performance of a student is also monitored and addressed through the feature throughout the course of two years. Specialists not only follow up on the progress of the participants but also provide professional orientation guidance, visit their schools and communities when necessary, and work hand in hand to uncover the inner genius of every prospective SMART Citizen.

COAF takes care to have a comprehensive cultural component for the participants. News, updates, and upcoming events are added in the “news” section of the application giving students the opportunity to learn about the upcoming initiatives first-hand.
