I bought this app for one reason only, to restore a backup after a HomeKit hub update. When I update the hub (openHAB) with new configuration I normally add devices. I keep the names of the devices and they are unique but the restore backup makes me go one by one and select the equivalent. The rest of the app looks very well done and the developer responded very fast trying to solve my issue.
Hello and thanks for your feedback! The automatic assignment is using the serial numbers and service label index characteristics of an accessory. All HomeKit certified products have these informations. It seems the openHAB HomeKit integration is not providing unique serials in your setup. Original HomeKit accessories have default names after reset / adding them, so accessory names are not reliable information for the app.I will try to reach out to openHAB developers to improve that situation.Best regards,Jan
I bought it last year, one pay per life, no subscriptions. I had all the features and for me the most important the “controller hub”. NOW you have to pay for it and with a subscription. It was a dirty movement, and a lot of users are not happy with it. You should allow people who paid for life at least pay only one time more or restore the controller hub. Think about it, you are making move people to home assistant….
I purchased the lifetime license after testing the app under the subscription model and being genuinely impressed by its features and overall quality. I believed the lifetime purchase meant long-term access to the full set of features available at the time. However, with the recent update, functions that were previously included—such as Controller Hub—have been moved behind a new subscription tier. After paying for the PRO version, users are now confronted with an additional PLUS tier, effectively locking existing features behind a second paywall. This practice feels misleading and unfair to customers who supported the app early and paid a premium price with the expectation of retaining access to what they already had. It undermines trust and gives the impression that the goal is to extract more money rather than reward loyal users.I hope the developers reconsider this approach and restore the features that lifetime purchasers originally paid for.
Unless you have so many devices it's almost impossible for you to manage from Apple home, this app is way too expensive for what it offers. The coolest thing, mapping your house is restricted for iPhones with Lidar...
