Description
Usually when a password is requested the requirements are similar to the following:
Mix of upper and lower case chaacters
Include numbers
Include special characters
The problem is that the resultant password is very difficult to remember and what is more, often not particularly secure.
Easy password generator generates passwords that are both easy to remember and secure.
You can select the number of words and maximum length of each word, and other options such as using separator characters, an appended digit or uppercase initial letters for each word. Using 2 moderately-length words will give a password that is secure for most purposes. For extra security you can select longer words and up to 5 words.
Alternatively, you can generate a password of a given length.
Easy password generator generates passwords that are both easy to remember and secure.
The passwords consist of words, optionally separated by special characters (which you can choose) and optionally terminated with a number – simply in order to satisfy the requirements of some servers or apps.
Using 2 moderately-length words will give a password that is secure for most purposes. For extra security you can select longer words and up to 5 words.
If you select 2 words with a maximum length of 6 characters, there are around 44,500 words to choose from. Someone attempting to break the passwords – even if they knew that that’s was how the password was contracted – would have a total of 1,980,250,000 combinations to attempt. If you include special characters as separators and a digit terminator the combinations go up even more.
For a maximum length of 9 characters there are 115,500 words giving 13,340,250,000 combinations.
For 3 words the number of combinations are 88,121,125,000,000 and 1,540,798,875,000,000.
For 6 words the numbers become astronomical.
Because the words are random they cannot be easily guessed. If people choose their own words they are likely to use a sequence such as bucket, spade, beach etc. which would be more easily guessed
