iDesign is available as a monthly or yearly subscription and includes a free trial period that begins once your purchase has been confirmed with your Apple ID account. At the end of the trial your subscription will start and renew automatically. Your Apple ID account will be charged for the upcoming period unless you disable auto-renew or cancel your subscription in your Account Settings at least 24-hours prior to the end of the current period.

Version 4.1
This update includes user experience improvements in 5 areas of frequently used functionality.
Keyboard shortcuts for tools, common functions and editing:
- Shortcuts for all the drawing tools.
- Standard editing shortcuts for Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, Undo, Redo, Select/Unselect All, Shift Select etc.
- Shortcuts for File operations, Save, Close, Export, Library.
- Shortcuts for Board settings, Grid, Snap, Rulers, Zoom options.
- Shortcuts for Toolbox menu panels, Tools, Properties, Board, Layers and Settings.
- Arrow keys for moving selected objects.
Press and hold the Command button to see all the available keyboard shortcuts.
Improvements to export and sharing:
- New share option to export and share straightaway.
- Save exported files to a folder location locally or on iCloud.
Midpoint offset handles for resizing sides:
- Just like in the Mac version, you now have midpoint resize handles along with the corner handles.
Measurements display next to shape during editing:
- Displays context measurements for location, size, length and angle and rotation.
- The messages can be enabled or disabled in Toolbox -> Settings -> Context Measurements setting.
Tool action notifications:
- Tool actions messages displayed briefly on the top of the screen.
- The notifications can be enabled or disabled in Design Options -> Info -> Help -> Context Help Messages setting.
Zoom presets and percentage display:
- Zoom percentage display visible during pinch zooming.
- Zoom +/- buttons to be based on standard set of zoom presets.
Fixes:
Fixed design lock functionality, now accessible via Design Options -> Info -> Settings -> Design Lock setting.

Suscripción cuando ya he pagado???
¿¿¿Por qué tengo que pagar una suscripción por una app que ya compré en su momento??? Es un insulto a los usuarios que hemos confiado en la app desde hace años. Hay mucho listo queriendo ganar dinero a costa de las suscripciones, además con precios abusivos. Si no se da alternativa la borraré como seguro que harán muchos otros.

Gracias por tu reseña. iDesign se actualizó y recibió soporte durante los últimos 13 años por un precio de compra único y bajo; muchos usuarios han disfrutado de actualizaciones y soporte gratuitos durante más de una década. Esto ya no es sostenible y, para mantener la aplicación desarrollada y compatible, era necesario pasar a un modelo de suscripción (una decisión difícil para un pequeño desarrollador continuar sirviendo a la aplicación y a sus usuarios en los años venideros). Se puede acceder a todos sus archivos de diseño incluso sin una suscripción, con opciones de exportación completas incluidas para cuando no esté suscrito.
La información de actualización de la versión menciona claramente los cambios y los usuarios siempre han tenido la opción de actualizar, las actualizaciones gratuitas y las nuevas versiones tienen un costo significativo para el desarrollador y no se pueden proporcionar de forma gratuita para siempre.
La opción de suscripción anual tiene buenos descuentos (resulta ser inferior al precio de una taza de café al mes) y tiene un precio mucho menor que el de aplicaciones de capacidad similar. Espero que pueda ver el valor de lo que la aplicación puede ofrecer y suscribirse esperando que la aplicación se desarrolle y admita continuamente en el futuro.
Pasó a suscripción sin consideración a compradores anteriores
Una aplicación bonita, algo complicada de manejar, con la que dibujé algunas veces en mi iPad. Su paso al modelo suscripción no tuvo en cuenta a sus usuarios anteriores ni implicó alguna consideración o reducción de precio inicial hacia nosotros. Resultado: mis dibujos perdidos y ni siquiera hay una opción de prueba para valorar si merece la pena. Miraré otras opciones. Y por favor, no copien la misma respuesta que a otras reseñas negativas. Ya las he leído.

Se proporcionaron actualizaciones gratuitas durante 13 años desde la primera versión, pero esto ya no era sostenible.
Hay una prueba de dos semanas disponible a partir de la versión 4.0 para la suscripción mensual.
Se puede acceder a los archivos de diseño sin una suscripción con opciones de exportación completas.
El beneficio para los usuarios antiguos es que obtuvieron actualizaciones gratuitas durante muchos años y muchas versiones de iOS.
La actualización de la versión menciona claramente los cambios y los usuarios siempre han tenido la opción de actualizar, las actualizaciones gratuitas y las nuevas versiones tienen un costo significativo para el desarrollador y no se pueden proporcionar de forma gratuita para siempre.

Even if I don’t use your app on a daily basis I found it quite usefull, mainly to perform precision tasks that I need to achieve from time to time. I understand that you decide to change your subscription policy so you can cover your maintenance costs. That’s why I subscribed a test period. What I don’t understand actually is that your last app update was implemented almost six years ago. And there is plenty to do to improve the service that you pretend to deliver to your costumers. As any developer you have probably a list of basic improvements that have been required by your costumers. But not much have been done. So unless you are planning to offer us a brand new version addressing the actual flaws in the next days I don’t think I will go ahead with this. Please I don’t need any standard prepared answer. So, please don’t answer to this unless there is some good news to share with your long time costumers. Thank you.

Thank you for your review. iDesign has been updated regularly with features, enhancements, fixes and support for all new iOS versions since the app was first released 13 years ago. Please check the version history for details. (it is incorrect to say it has not been updated in 6 years, there has been many enhancements, new features along with fixes and iOS version support in this time as well)
Further development is ongoing, with new features and enhancements. This is the reason the app had moved on to subscriptions, please look out for these updates in the coming months and ahead!
