Prairial is a calendar utility that allows converting between the standard calendar (a.k.a. Greogorian) and the short-lived French Revolution one.

The Today screen widget presents the present date of the Revolution era.

The Apple Watch companion presents the present date of the Revolution era on 2 alternate screens, one with the standard image representation of the month, and the decimal time of the day (10 hours of 100 minutes of 100 seconds).

Best historical calendar app

I’ve been using Prairial for a week now, for different purposes: finding out my date of birth, researching, comparing dates, and simply using this much prettier as well as atheist calendar day to day. It’s the best app for the Revolutionary French Calendar I’ve used to date. I only have one critique, and that is the app icon. A person about to be guillotined does not fit the image of this calendar, in my opinion. While the French Revolution was bloody, the calendar itself is quite beautiful and has natural themes. I would also love to have a widget to add to my home and lock screen, but other than this, it functions perfectly!
