Hyvin tehty käyttöliittymä. Löytänyt jo vaikka ja mitä uutuuksia itselle. Yksi tähti pois kuitenkin harhaanjohtavasta markkinoinnista. ”Hi res” lossless materiaalia kun ei ihan helposti pääsekkään hyödyntämään täysin, kun mikään applen oma laite ei niitä tue. Ei kuulokkeet eikä apple tv. Erillisellä D/A muuntimella on mahdollista saada yli 48khz/24bit signaalia ulos. Laadullisesti tuskin kovin merkityksellistä, mutta asian voisi ilmaista paremminkin. Turhaan yritin signaalia saada ulos paremmalla laadulla.

Apple Music has been difficult to use, because the representation of the classical compositions isn’t exact enough concerning the title, composer information, parts of the compositions and performers. Apple Classical solves this problem fine. Also the search function enables the finding of the different versions of each work. Also the catalogue seem to be wider than before.
Bad news is, however, that the search function is still unfinished and makes errors. If you look for e.g. Adagio in F minor by Chevalier de Saint Georges, there are different compositions in the same tempi under this title. The list of the works of each composer seem to maintain only the most popular works.
What was even a bigger disappointment, that in the library section you can’t mix or shuffle your playlist. What is the idea of this? Is it presupposed that a fan of classical music does not want to change the order of the playlist sometimes?
A ramification of this is that I can not use the library of. Apple Classical at all, because. I want to mix my playlists for change.
The playlist section. makes also errors. For example, if there are compositions of the same composer, that are placed to different parts of the playlist, the. player may. start to play the first piece of that composer, eventhough you have chosen. another piece.
What is even more awful about this application is, that there is no access to the playlists of the other users. You can not browse or make search for them. Respectively you can not share or make them public. In other words Apple Music has no social dimension. It has lost all the potential, that the. playlists of the users might offer. This makes Apple Classical a very dull an application and gives it very elitist and conservative appearance.
What concerns the accessibility of the Apple Classical through. Voiceover, there would be a lot to do still.
In sum, I would use Apple Classical only to make search on the wide catalogue available.

Tällaisenaan pelkkänä iPhone-appinä turha. Kun haluaisi kuunnella kotona hyvillä laitteilla Dolby Atmos äänellä, eihän se onnistu mitenkään esim. Airplayn yli. Applen kuulokkeilla (Airpods Pro tai Max) Dolby Atmos taas pääsääntöisesti paskoo äänenlaadun ja ne eivät tue edes lossless ääntä. Eli mitä tekee Dolby Atmos (tai hi-res) äänellä, kun ei sitä mitenkään saa iPhonesta ulos? Toki saman levyn ainakin monessa tapauksessa voi hakea Apple TV:n Apple Musicista ja kuunnella sieltä Dolby Atmos tai lossless äänellä. Eli mikä tämän äpin pointti on? Ihan hyvin tämän palvelun voisi toteuttaa Apple Musicin sisällä, omana osionaan. Toki jos Apple TV äppi tähän tulee, voisi tällä olla jotain käyttöä, mutta silti parempi olisi integroida koko palvelu Apple Musiciin suoraan ja sitä kautta se olisi heti kaikissa laitteissa.
