Your iTunes account will be automatically charged at the same price for renewal within the 24-hour period prior to the end of the current payment period unless you change your subscription preferences in your iTunes Account Settings. When a subscription is cancelled, access to the app’s courses and features will expire at the end of the current payment period.

Almost a Bullseye
I switched to Babbel from Duolingo and I have been quite satisfied with the change in learning g methods and the way I can tailor it to my needs and habits. I also prefer it’s lack of Strava-like competitive elements. What Imam disappointed with is the lack of content once you get to the end of B2. There is only one C1 grammar section and after that you are forced to go back to lower levels. There should be plenty of content for people who want to proceed all the way to C2. Quick Silver

Excellent tool, review is key
I've used Babbel for a year studing Swedish, and pretty much nothing else. Compared to old-fashioned classroom learning, the constant use of sound and visual clue while immediately practising your own pronunciation causes you to learn vocab much more soundly and much faster. The review function is absolutely key; it brings you a little bit to go over every single day and keeps the whole of everything you have learned in your mind and within the grasp of your active memory. It may require both the lesson and a good 10 visits to the word in the review, but you will learn to remember and even correctly spell words like "residence permit". The smaller specialty course for things like plurals, ordinal numbers, idioms and idiom phrases, Winter sports, etc. are also fun and extremely helpful. I did the plurals section repeatedly to finally get a grasp on that material. I also learned ordinal numbers quite quickly and well from that small course so I could talk about dates with clients at work. I think it's a fabulous app and a very effective way to learn. I do frequently use Google translate to listen to just one word repeatedly, or to investogate the words from which a larger word is composed. Difficult grammar questions and other questions are usually answered fairly quickly through the Babbel discussion forums.

Good app but has many bugs
While the course structure and learning experience is much better than many other apps, there are some fundamental bugs in the app which hinder with learning like in dialogue completion mode the keyboard would hide the text to complete beneath it and therefore make it hard to see and fill the blanks
