Erinomainen tarinallinen seikkailu
Olen pelannut Broken Sword 2:n läpi aiemmin PC:llä 2000-luvun alussa. Remasteroitu versio eroaa alkuperäisestä lähinnä siinä, että kaikille hahmoille on lisätty dialogia elävöittämään animoidut puhuvat päät. Tämä versio on siis pääosin yhtä hyvä kuin alkuperäinenkin peli.
Mikä pelissä on sitten hyvää? Juoni on mukaansatempaava, hahmot ovat hyvin kirjoitettuja ja eri matkailu eri puolilla maailmaa on edelleen kiinnostavaa. Maya-teemainen juoni oli ehkä jännittävämpi 2000-luvun alussa, kun maailmassa kohistiin 21. joulukuuta 2012 koittavasta maailmanlopusta, mutta kyllä tarina toimi edelleen. Olen pelannut ensimmäisen Broken Swordin läpi niin monta kertaa, että harvemmin pelaamani Broken Sword 2 tuntui tässä suhteessa temaattisesti raikkaalta irtiotolta temppeliritarien maailmasta.
Pelin pienet miinukset ovat samat kuin alkuperäisessä. Peli on melko suoraviivainen ja helppo, mutta toisaalta sen pelaamista voisikin verrata tässä suhteessa elokuvan tai sarjakuvan lukemiseen. Pelin viimeinen puzzle on taas raivostuttava esimerkki siitä, miten oikean ratkaisun keksimisen jälkeen saman tarkkuustehtävän (jota itse asiassa hieman epätarkka resoluutio vaikeuttaa tarpeettomasti) joutuu toistamaan useita kertoja ennen kuin pääsee nauttimaan pelin loppuvideosta. Pelin välivideot ovat hyvän näköisiä mutta omalla iPadillani ne olivat valitettavasti melko pieniä, ruudun keskellä ilman skaalausta.
Summa summarum: Erittäin suositeltu peli erityisesti seikkailupelien ystäville, mutta miksei myös muille perinteisen seikkailun ja käsinpiirretyn animaation ystäville.

Kuin pitkä, jännittövä elokuva. Lisäksi saat olla itse mukana. Aivan mahtava peli. Juoneltaan ehkä heikompi, kuin ensimmäinen, mutta grafiikat ja animaatiot ovat tässä parempia.
