Very basic app that needs work

Very basic when it comes to features. For instance, EQ has only ”Low” and ”High” frequency bands. There are also bugs in the GUI. Needs quite a lot of work.

Settings?

Remote stopped working on second day. All i changed is latency to minium in settings.

I have the latest software and firmware.

Also the app keeps loosing the Phantom. And needs reboot, also you have to cut optical connection like your tv off or reboot is only half succefull.

Does settings in apple wifi matter like 1. Limit ip following? 2. Datasave ? 3. Private wifi ?

Beta-quality

Rewrite: after several emails and a call from Devialet tech we got it all working. Took forever and several resets of both the speakers and the app. The original system with the setup was intuitive and amazing. The new one reminds me of a poor Chinese knockoff that’s still in beta level. I’m sorry to see Devialet quality drop this low. The original system made me happy every step of the way, now I feel I have a system I need to tinker constantly to keep it working and I have to think twice before considering an update that may yet again break everything for days.

Edit: I got a message about “home wifi quality” and how Devialet depends on that. I sell enterprise wifi systems and have set up one at home, too. It works flawlessly with everything else. The nearest AP is in the same room as the speakers with perfect connectivity. The system has used PLC before and I would have preferred it for obvious reasons. The DOS2 version wouldn’t even find the speakers properly without Ethernet cables connected. So if you have issues with wifi, please fix YOUR equipment. Nobody else has issues with the connectivity. Not to mention - any and all issues I posted earlier have no connection to your poor wifi handling. It’s more about buggy and poorly tested software that needs to be restarted several times just to get basic setup done or to keep it running in a day to day operation. Spark had its issues but it was 10 times more reliable than this piece of junk.
