Connecting a pain
From day one it’s been a struggle making mesh Wi-Fi work with these D-Link devices.
I have now managed to add the main router and 4 extenders. One still waiting it’s turn. Each one has taken a lot of time, rebootings, not connecting. Resetting the extender and trying again.
I am doing exactly how the app is instructing.
This is not my first mesh Wi-Fi but fifth in different locations. I have been able to make them work in previous cases, but they’ve been different products.
These are blinking red in the moment it should be white or orange. No idea why. App instructs to place it closer to the router. It is already standing side by side.
After rebooting, resetting and doing the whole procedure 3 to 4 times I eventually have the next extender working. Though it even in that moment shows red, obviously. Patiently waiting another 10 minutes and it suddenly shows white.
Fancy AI word used. Doesn’t work. How hard can it be…
