CHANGED
• Multiplayer compatibility --> 7.6.2.
• AI submarines will focus on capturing naval sea trade tiles and attack enemy destroyers less (only if under 50% HP).
• Supplies rate through terrain. Hills and mountains as well as forest are now going to play a more important role.
• Mountaineers (store option) have a -50% penalty for supplies going through hills/mountains.
• Proper UI feedback for scenario setup with income sliders (adjusted by difficulty and configuration).
• Units can no longer be redeployed when inside enemy territory.
• Supplies penalty for bad weather has changed and is less important during rainy weather than in winter blizzard weather. Before, there was a flat 25% penalty applied for both. Now, a 30% penalty will be applied for winter bad weather, while a 20% penalty will be applied for rainy bad weather.
• Increased manpower bonus from conscription policies.

• Exploits to complete scenarios in very short amount of time.
• Supplies issues.
• Redeploy unit button tooltip giving wrong information.
• AI in landing crafts could be trying to land in territory that did not belong to an ally or an enemy, and therefore was not moving at all because no path to the tile could be found.
• AI maths issues when calculating income for own logic.
• Realistic manpower heal cost issue.
• AI unit move issue.

Almost five stars

Feels and plays great, just needs a little tutorial or help-screen.

Unplayable on iphone 13

Many of the menu items are cut off on my iphone 13. Also, I wasn’t able to find a tutorial of any kind.

Hello,

I am playing on my iPhone 12 and I believe the screens are identical (shape), some are cut but not to the point it is unplayable and you can’t tap on the buttons. Everything is accessible.

If you go on youtube and search “Hex of Steel tutorial” you will find a very good series of 3 videos from time and tactics. I am 99% sure I even included those in the main menu if you click on “Guides” then “Gameplay”, yup, just checked, takes you to series of tutorials. The dude explained the game better than me. I also made a 50 or so pages pdf guides that is also accessible from the “Guides” section. It explains all of the mechanics.
There also is a small quick game map named “Tutorial”, it is very small and should contains everything to start learning the game by yourself without being thrown on a 300 x 300 map.
Also, this game was made for players that already played similar games (panzer general, panzer corps, order of battle, etc) it plays almost identically so a tutorial really isn’t needed. But if you are new to the genre then just watch a few videos and you’ll be all good.

If this is not what you were looking for, I apologize, my programming skills aren’t that good to make a proper tutorial, nor to adapt the entire UI to all of the existing devices (again, iphone 12 and 13 screens are identical and I play the game every day on mine so…)
