Annoyance by design

I would love to give this game a good review. The game itself is cutesy, the mechanics simple (if sometimes a bit laggy) and it has the bones of a game that wants to be good - but by heavens, it is trying to force you to buy stuff, and renders itself unplayable in the process.

Everytime you open the app, you have to wait to click away purchasable goodie bags (because the ”tap to exit” sign only comes up after a while). you cannot play two levels in a row without getting a full ad that requires you to tap on something like an exit or an x three times. the upper levels are near impossible to play through without extra help, and trying to restart the level almost quarantees an unskippable ad. I can understand wanting to make money, and game development definitely isn’t cheap, but there are ways to go about it that do not reek of desperation. In fact it also made me annoyed enough to give feedback instead of just quietly deleting the app and moving on.

Also, why is there space for five screws to tuck away, if the fifth one autofails a level?

I tried to give this game multiple chances, but it seems intent on making itself impossible to enjoy without money and as such I shall look for an alternative, which is a shame, because I’m all for cutesy games that can be played during quiet hours or in between tasks.
