Good game
The gameplay itself is very well made and addicting, very good tutorial and info on all the yaku. I am not really into the gacha but it’s only cosmetic so it doesn’t matter. Though the characters are beautifully made.
Good mahjong but greedy gacha
This game provides a great mahjong experience. However if you want to play it for those fancy characters and aren’t ready to pay hundreds of dollars, you should forget about it. It takes a lot of grinding to get even a single summoning token to perform one summon. Let me do the match for you:
One summoning token costs 50 dust, which you get by donating gifts, each costing about 15k copper. You get some gifts for free after playing 10 matches or so. You may win or lose copper when playing in silver room or above but bronze room does not cost nor gain you anything besides increasing your rank. You get daily quests that give you 2k copper and you may get 4.5k copper once a day whenever you fall below 4.5k. So in the end you may get about 2-3 gifts per day if you’re a noob or 5 tops if you play really well, which would take you about 20-10 days to get a single token. Once you get it you’ll have maybe 5% chance to drop a character so all this hard work will only result in a bunch of useless items to increase your bond on the free characters. In the end you will have to pay for jade if you want to get any characters and even then you will have to be paying a lot.
Final verdict:
Mahjong is fun, gacha games are vicious. Like most gacha games, this was made for the whales and not the small fish. At the very least they are all cosmetic and none of this affects the game balance so it is not pay to win.
