Terms of Service and Privacy Policy links broken
edit: they fixed the links.
It concerns me with how much data this app gathers from its users.
I know nobody reads privacy policies and we just mindlessly click accept and next (guilty of this too). Sometimes it’s too hard to give up on using a website, or a service just because you don’t consent to their data gathering policies.
Here’s just a snippet from their privacy policy, regarding their practices with connect social media accounts:
When you link to or interact with Us or Our content through SocialMedia Sites, you allow Us to receive certain data from your social media account (e.g., your name, user ID, email address, profile photo, photos and videos, gender, date of birth, your list of friends and their contact details, people whom you follow and/or who follow you, the posts or the 'likes' you make).”
A snippet about collecting and sharing (selling) your data:
“We share certain information and/or data regarding our Users with third parties to provide advertising to you based on your interests.”
So they collect a profile on you, and they sell it to advertisers. These are just small bits from their privacy policy.
I bet most of their users don’t think twice when they agree to “give access to all photos”. Are you sure you’re okay with that?
Specially with photo manipulating apps this is a personal concern of mine.
Just something to be mindful about, don’t mean to pester on anyone.
