Our goal is to help people spend time on what they love. That’s why Spotahome lets you rent homes without seeing them in person. Picture yourself viewing thousands of rooms for rent in flatshares from the comfort of your sofa. Imagine using your smartphone to visit 20 apartments for rent in just one hour. Now, all of this is possible - the hunt for housing has never been easier or safer.
We check properties so you don’t have to. We create listings that are so accurate that you can book your next home without having to visit it in person.
How does it work?
We send our Homecheckers to the properties that we list on our platform. The Homechecker takes high-quality photos, 360° images, accurate floor plans, and professional video tours of each property. Their material is then sent to our Copywriters who describe everything from the interior of the living room, right down to the vibe of the local neighbourhood. The end result is a virtual viewing that’s just as realistic as an in-person visit.
We know that it’s important for you to find the right landlord. That’s why we include practical information about landlord policies, utilities, tenant preferences and house rules. That way, landlords and tenants both know that they are the right fit for each other.

Ratings and Reviews
App lags a lot
I’ve heard a lot of good about the service but unfortunately the app lags a lot which makes the user experience very frustrating. Example: When I view a listing, and then go to close listing, it throws me straight back to the first page. It’s so annoying to have to look for the previous page again. Also, sometimes when I go to change the filter the map zooms into a random area and I have to zoom out to see all the options. Sometimes the app (and the website) just randomly says there’s no listings with my options, but the text clearly says there’s options available, they just won’t show up for some reason. All this lagging in makes finding an apartment with spotahome’s app unnecessarily difficult.
I do like that they often give a lot of info about the listings, like floorplan and video footage, and I really appreciate the spotahome team checking apartments to make sure they’re real. I just wish they would improve the app (and the website too, which also lags a ton)
