Description
"TheDailyNewsApp" gives users access to public news sites
from major US and international newsfeeds.
The organization of the news content is very similar to that
of an newspaper. A newspaper has many sections, a newsfeed
can have many sections also.
App features include:
- Top stories from newsfeeds around the world at you finger tip.
Backend Linux Services features include:
- Primary & backup services. These changes enable the App
to automatically switch between primary & backup services in
case of an outage. Hopefully this should minimize any
disruptions in the App.
- Server Side Configurations. Some configurations can be
implemented from the server without a full re-deployment of
the App.
- Enable/Disable features within the App without a full
re-deployment.
Other features include:
- A re-useable component base architecture.
- A rules based “caching” algorithm.
- A rules based “newsfeeds” algorithm.
- A code base written in Swift used by both backend Linux
servers & IOS clients.

Version 5.0.0
- Added more news content covering many different contries.
- Implemented a new backend so upgrade as soon as possible
because older versions of the app might not work!
- Fixed parsing out html tags from text.
- Made changes to the newsfeed algorithm for better
performance.
