Quite random, wrong translations, and forces to remember confusing icons

The app teaches words. That’s it. And the translations may be completely confusing and you also have to remember what icon happens to be tied to the word.

So there’s the additional cognitive load to remember what weird icon is tied to a word instead of just remembering words. It’s not helpful at all.

The words it teaches (based on some form of “popularity”) are also weird. Like you surely need to know the words “lavish” or “broadcast” when you’re learning a language, right? Like before it even teaches “I” or “you” or “live” or many many more popular words.

So if you want to learn random words by guessing which icon they chose to represent it this time, it’s your app. Otherwise it’s pretty useless.

(Note: I didn’t pay to see if it’s better that way since the free version already showed its flaws)
