The 2020 season of the legendary Pro Evolution Soccer series is all about realism. Using the Unreal Engine 4 to bring almost lifelike football matches to your screen, eFootball PES 2020 also adds lots of new experiences to the table.
For starters, now teams such as FC Bayern München, FC Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester United have been included as official partners. Plus leagues such as Serie A are available.
But of course the new shiny stuff isn’t limited to new teams and leagues: there are also gameplay tweaks. A new ball control technique called Finesse Dribble has been added to the game – Andrés Iniesta acted as an advisor to help make the game that much more realistic. Apart from that, players can enjoy a wider variation of dribbling, trapping, tackling and other moves.
There are also new features off the pitch. For example, when a new player joins the team, they’ll have to face the press in a conference, as any new player would in real life.
While all of these features would make for a great update by themselves, the real star of eFootball PES 2020 is called Matchday. This is where the game takes real-world matches, turns them digital and allows players to choose a side and replay the match against other players. If you’re selected to play, big rewards could be in your future! Those who aren’t selected to play can sit on the sidelines and watch the action live.
Fans of the series might wonder what’s up with the new “eFootball” label at the beginning of the name this year. This is a combination of esports and football, marking the link between online and real-world matches. Get ready for Matchday by practising your skills and strengthening your team so you’ll be on top form on the pitch. Also, be sure to watch the actual big match with the same enthusiasm. eFootball PES 2020 has hit the back of the net with the inclusion of real football in the game experience. Which team will you be kicking off with this season?
