Passpartout: Starving Artist

You can become a great artist!

View

Ahh, Paris. The history, the romance, the art...the baguettes. If you've ever dreamed of leaving the doldrums of your monotonous daily life behind and running off to live as a free, bohemian artist in France, you now can – at least virtually.

Welcome to Passpartout: Starving Artist, the game that allows you to experience all of the glamour and confusion of the Parisian art scene. Paint a variety of masterpieces and attempt to sell them to customers with different (and difficult to predict) artistic tastes to see if you can earn enough money to keep up with your baguette addiction.

As you find success in the art world, you can unlock better selling locations and fun painting tools for your creations.

You'll start out impoverished, with only a garage and a few spaces to hang your art. If you get lucky, you'll catch the eye of the few potential customers milling around and will slowly start to earn enough money to move up, unlocking new painting tools (like pens and better brushes) and increasingly trendy galleries for better selling opportunities.

The biggest challenge of the game is trying to predict – and meet – the expectations of picky and rude art buyers.

Of course, as the game progresses, meeting customer demand gets harder – and customers become increasingly rude. But with a bit of luck and talent in reading your customers, you could even end up as a world-famous artist, showing masterpieces in museums around the world.

Can you become the next Van Gogh?
