Slayin gives you one single, solitary life, and with it you have to defeat waves of slimes, skulls, zombies and even dragons with nothing but your skill and speed to fall back on, if you want to achieve that legendary score.
The good news is that you can choose from six types of hero for your protagonist. A sword-wielding knight has the hand-to-hand combat skills, but the mighty wizard can transform into a tornado and the lucky knave makes sure you're maximising the amount of loot your enemies drop.
Your choice of hero isn't the only thing that will keep you coming back for more: you can strategically upgrade your character mid-battle to make sure you gain the upper hand.
The retro graphics and 8-bit style music are fantastic additions to the gameplay, making this an irresistible tribute to the coin-op op classics of yesteryear.
