From the minds behind Angry Birds, Battle Bay is an online multiplayer game which pits players against one another in epic real-time battles on the high seas.
Using intuitive and satisfyingly smooth touch controls, you sail your boat around an arena firing at enemy ships as you go. The aim is to completely annihilate the other team, or capture the right area on the map.
As you play and rack up victories, you’ll be able to augment your ship with new weapons and shields as well as train up the crew that’s manning it. Each crew member has their own skill tree and talents, so you’ll be able to upgrade them to complement the way you like to play.
With its bright colours and cartoonish graphics, Battle Bay looks fantastic. The rolling of the briny blue is so realistic and unpredictable that it adds a strategic element – you’ll hide from enemy fire behind the swells and struggle to steady your own shots.
At first the fast and furious battles will be randomly matched, but Battle Bay is a place where you can make friends as well as sink them. As you rise through the ranks you’ll be able to join guilds and create custom matches between friends, some of whom you might even have met through Battle Bay's handy in-game communication system.
