Can’t decide between a board game or a card game? Why not play both? Monopoly Solitaire blends two beloved classics into a clever new concoction. Clearing solitaire cards earns you dice rolls, which send your game piece (the top hat, dog or wheelbarrow, for example) around a Monopoly board. This town will be yours in no time.
What we love: Buying Park Lane from under an opponent’s nose! In Monopoly Solitaire, you don’t lose money when you land on another player’s property – and better yet, you can steal that property to bolster your own portfolio. The speedy pace also rewards quick play: the more dice rolls you earn, the sooner you’ll reach the 10,000-point goal.
Quick tip: Not sure a newly dealt card is playable? Tap it! It’ll automatically move to a viable pile (if there is one) – a great time-saver that’s especially handy when you’re stuck.
Meet the creator: California–based developer MobilityWare launched its first solitaire game alongside the App Store itself in 2008. The team played over 25 different versions of Monopoly while working on the design for Monopoly Solitaire.
