Focusito is a timer app for those who want to improve their focus on any task, study for school, or stay in a deep flow for a fixed amount of time without being disturbed. It divides your work or study session into intervals with pauses in between.

This technique is also known as the Pomodoro or Tomato technique and is scientifically proven to improve concentration, productivity, and motivation levels while decreasing users’ stress, especially beneficial for individuals with ADHD.

// HOW POMODORO TIMER WORKS AS A FOCUS KEEPER
The Pomodoro (Tomato) timer technique divides activities into 25-minute sessions called “Pomodoros.” During each Pomodoro, you focus exclusively on one task.

After each session, a short pause helps you relax, enhancing control over your activities and making it easier to focus on your goals. These pauses allow the brain to distance from the task for a while and not lose interest. If you concentrate on something for a long time, the brain loses deep focus and starts to “sabotage” the effort at hand.

It is the brain’s natural defense mechanism. It avoids overworking in the following way: if it’s focused on an object for a long time, it just starts ignoring it and the focus shifts. To prevent this loss of flow and motivation, all you need to do is take two short pauses each working hour. As an ADHD focus keeper, our app reminds you to take these breaks.

1. Select the Task: Choose the study task you want to focus on.
2. Set the Timer: Set the timer to 25 minutes and start your flow session.
3. Take a 5-minute break when the timer goes off.
4. Repeat: Continue this cycle, taking longer breaks after four sessions.
