Calls, Videos from Santa Claus
Want to send your kids a personalised greeting from Santa Claus? Portable North Pole can arrange that – all you need to do is enter your child’s name, along with optional additions such as a photo, and your video will be ready in a flash. You can even create a custom video of Santa delivering your child’s gift – and have them access it on Christmas morning via a QR code on a special downloadable gift tag.
What we love: The app’s Kids’ Corner has fun activities geared towards little ones, including an Advent calendar, bedtime stories and a dance challenge taught by Santa’s elves! Kids can also sing along to their favourite holiday tunes with Mrs Claus herself. Switching to the Parents’ Corner requires a grown-up (and their password, Face ID or Touch ID).
Quick tip: From the Calls tab, the app can also schedule video or audio calls from Santa. There are options for lightly snarky calls for adults (“Not so sure about those tattoos”), special announcements (“You’re going to get a dog!”) and year-round birthday greetings.
Meet the creator: The magic of Portable North Pole is made possible by a collaborative effort in Santa’s Workshop. Santa wanted every child to have a chance to meet him so he could tell them all how special they are, so he asked his talented team of Invengineer Elves to upgrade the technology in their workshop. The elves got right to work!
