Description
How can computers learn to recognize birds from sounds? The BirdNET research project uses artificial intelligence and neural networks to train computers to identify nearly 3,000 of the most common species of North America and Europe. You can record a file using the internal microphone of your iOS device and see if BirdNET correctly identifies the probable bird species present in your recording. Get to know the birds around you and help us to collect observations by submitting your recordings.
BirdNET is a joint project of the K. Lisa Yang Center for Conservation Bioacoustics at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and Chemnitz University of Technology.

Application géniale
L’application est vraiment pratique, car elle reconnaît les oiseaux à leur chant. Et de marnière général nous entendons les oiseaux beaucoup plus que nous les voyons.
Les fiches descriptives associées sont vraiment bien. Et je trouve chouette que l’on puisse confirmer ou infirmer si cela est la bonne espèce d’oiseau, mais cela n’est possible que si l’application ne propose qu’une seule espèce, ce serait bien de pouvoir donner son avis aussi lorsque plus de possibilités sont proposés. De plus s’il était possible aussi de proposer une espèce nous mêmes si elle n’a pas été reconnue ce serait vraiment génial.

Ça fait tellement longtemps que je rêve de cette application… Vous l’avez enfin réalisé ! Je peux maintenant satisfaire toute ma curiosité et écouter avec un grand plaisir, tous ces oiseaux qui enchantent notre nature. L’accès aux bases de données est un vrai plus qui permet d’enrichir rapidement ses connaissances sur l’oiseau écouté. Bravo !!! merci infiniment
Bonne application ludique mais…
Pour moi il manque (ou alors cet oiseau n’était pas référencé) les oiseaux nocturnes. Impossible d’identifier une chouette, pourtant proche avec un enregistrement clair. Autre chose, concernant les confirmations d’oiseaux, il y a certaines fois où on ne voit pas l’oiseau (ou qu’on ne le connait pas) pour pouvoir confirmer. Il serait bien de rajouter cette option de choix dans la soumission. Sinon, j’adore cette application, j’ai découvert qu’il y a plein de sorte d’oiseaux vers chez moi !
