Description

Couverture lets you manage, edit and preview easing and spring curves to level up your animation game in apps, websites, and prototypes. It’s great to experiment with thanks to the handy realtime preview. Additionally, it allows you to export curves in a variety of formats. A rarity in build quality, with significant precision — one curve at a time.

Features
• Every animation. More extraordinary.
• Top-notch spring and easing curve editor
• Explore, manage, and export animation curves, in an all offline environment
• Export formats supported: SwiftUI, CoreAnimation, UIKit, CSS (keyframe animation), image (png), and float literals. Floats are compatible with most common design tools that support timing curves (such as Figma, After Effects, Motion), but typically, you have to copy and paste them manually.

What are easing curves?
An easing function, also known as “timing function”, is used to specify the rate of change in an animation over time, influencing the speed or pace of the motion.

What are spring curves?
A spring curve is used to create a natural and dynamic motion, often associated with bouncing or overshooting effects.

Andreas Sch. ,

Nice start

The graphic design of the UI is very nice indeed. But it feels very useless because of no save and tiny UI.

I got this app because I thought that finally I would get a decent size canvas to work on my curves precisely. But the app offers no better than a tiny module to work with the curve, not better than the UI of an app like Webflow for example, exactly what you want to evade from.

More annoying, it's very easy to set a control point outside of the area and… just get stuck there without any way to catch that point ever again.

So, to make it better, the zoom out should not be restrained, and the area should be extendable to a much, much larger one.

I would also like to see the code completely, maybe to see it while I update the curve, instead of having a tiny dropdown under export that doesn't even name the verious exports. This dropdown with those icons and the beginning of each code is very visually busy.

Saving a curve is prompting an alert message (you didn't save) that repeats itself and that doesn't make great sense.

UI sounds are rarely a good idea in my opinion.

Interactive previews are needed: one you hover, one you click. A delay should be added to the non interactive ones the ones that loop, because it's very difficult to get a sense of the start of the animation.

All in all it's a good start but it's beraly usable for the moment.

Will happily update this comment! Good job.

Update: removing the stars because nothing addressed in the update. This app is so far just an expensive eyecandy, not at all a productivity tool, it could be a productivity tool in no time if we could see the code when we edit, just to learn, and if we could enlarge the edit canvas, and if the speed was a field and not a 1 decimlal only slider. Thanks.

Edit2: I put 5 stars again because it's only a 1,99 app! And for 1,99, that's cool.
