Should be (much) better
I have been using endnote on my computer for 6 months and, while I enjoy its functionalities, it has proven very unstable.
This iPad version is even worse. It is awfully slow, and any action usually takes minutes to be completed (yes, minutes). I do have a lot of papers, but I expect this app to be able to handle whatever size for a library. It doesn't and I think it is a shame.
Not usable for academic use
This app is very poorly designed.
- no possibility to choose the format of the citation when copied out of the app.
- the formatting when copied out loses a significant amount of information. E.g. when I cite an edited volume, the editor appears as an author (!). E.g. translator’s name of an edited volume does not appear in the citation.
- import options are inexistent or useless. There is no good way to import data directly on this app, I have to add my books one by one. This is absurd.
In summary: writing down all my references into a docx file one by one is both more precise and less time-consuming than using this app.
Not working on my iphone 6s
Whenever I try syncing my library, the following error message pops-up: Endnote could not make HTTP request. I hope this issue gets solved soon.
