Find My iPhone:
If you misplace your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, the Find My iPhone app will let you use any iOS device to find it and protect your data. Simply install this free app, open it, and sign in with the Apple ID you use for iCloud. Find My iPhone will help you locate your missing device on a map, remotely lock it, play a sound, display a message, or erase all the data on it.
For missing iOS devices, Find My iPhone also includes Lost Mode. Lost Mode locks your device with a passcode and can display a custom message and contact phone number right on the Lock Screen. While in Lost Mode, your device can keep track of where it has been and report back so you can view its recent location history, right from the Find My iPhone app.
Please note that Find My iPhone must be enabled in iCloud settings on your device before you can locate it with this app.

How Your Data is Used
When you use Find My iPhone, your device’s location and information about your device and your account will be sent to and retained by Apple. This enables Apple to provide you with this service. Your device location is only sent to Apple if you actively request the location of a device or accessory. If you choose to enable the Send Last Location feature, your device’s last known location will be sent to Apple automatically whenever your device’s battery reaches a critically low level. Apple retains location information and makes it accessible to you for 24 hours. It is then deleted.

REQUIREMENTS

• Wi-Fi or cellular internet connection is required. WiFi-only devices must be connected to the Internet via a registered Wi-Fi network to be located.

Histoire de fou !!!
Je rentre de la plage avec ma pote et par un moment d’égard je pose mon iPhone sur le toit de la voiture et j’oublie de le reprendre avant de reprendre la route direction la maison. Une fois arrivée à la maison je m’aperçois de la gourde que je venais de faire. J’ai vite compris ce qui s’était passé et sans vraiment trop y croire j’ai été sur iCloud PC pour me connecter afin de localiser mon téléphone surtout que malgré les nombreuses tentatives d’appels, celui ci ne décrochait pas comme pour un portable éteint (il avait une batterie pleine 😭)
J’ai pu laisser un message « iPhone perdu veuillez me contacter au 06..... » qui s’est affiché sur mon portable même verrouillé et qui m’a permis de le retrouver après avoir fait un plongeon dès le 1 er rond point proche de cette fameuse plage 😅 ouf des personnes à pied sont tombés dessus 😍
Que d’émotions cette journée !!

Test de l’Application en temps réel hier
J’utilise cette application depuis des années et j’avoue ne Jamais avoir eu a m’en servir mais une fois l’an je la teste pour voir l’efficacité comme hier soir pour retrouver mon IPad et il a sonné ( Alarme ) . J’ai également testé en situation réel et me suis connecté sur mon PC pour vérifier la localisation et bien sûr il m’a indiqué la bonne adresse , bref j’espère ne jamais ne jamais égarer mes appareils mais j’ai la
Conscience tranquille quand à l’efficacité de l’Application , Bravo et Merci
Rien à dire
Je ne comprends pas les autres commentaires négatif, j'ai un iphone 4 et un Ipad 1 et ils sont tous les deux parfaitement détectés... Nul besoin d'avoir IOS 8... D'ailleurs c'est bien précisé dans les infos de l'appli "IOS 8 requis ou version ULTÉRIEUR".
