2X: Excellent but Expensive!

An excellent application, but sooo expensive (for the iPhone/iTouch world of course)!

After trying two other sun compasses available on the App Store (namely Travel Compass and Sun n Moon), I end up buying this one just because it is the only one which offers you the possibility to set both date AND time, and see information about sun and moon travel tables, including azimuth. Travel Compass allowed me to set time but used the current date, and it was just the contrary for Sun n Moon :-(.

Apart from that, the UI of Focalware is pretty slick, beside the fact that you must slide horizontally to rotate the sun/moon (grrrr!). Tapping on the side of the screen for smaller increment is pretty neat and handy. As a photographer, this tool can be very handy, especially if you couple it with Photobuddy and something like Tides (if you are close to the sea).

If, like me, you are in a need for a tool able to give you sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset time as well as azimuth, anywhere in space and in time, then Focalware is for you... if you can cope with spending 10x more than on a regular App Store application.
