iGoban n'est pas un simulateur de Go, mais un plateau de Go virtuel. Ceci implique que cette application ne vous apprend pas a jouer et ne possede pas d'intelligence artificielle pour jouer contre vous. Il s'agit en fait d'une application concue pour recreer un magnifique et authentique plateau de Go, goban, sur iPad.

Touchez et glissez pour placer ou retirer des pierres, penchez l'iPad sur le cote pour retirer toutes les pierres. Comme sur un authentique plateau de Go, goban, vous pouvez jouer ou etudier des parties avec ou sans handicap.

Amusez vous avec iGoban :
■ a l'hotel,
■ au cafe,
■ avec des collegues - pendant la pause dejeuner,
■ a la maison - si vous ne possedez pas de veritable plateau,
■ pour apprendre le Go a quelqu'un.

Worth application to study

I was looking for a « virtual goban » : I found one with this application, on my iPad, to study my own sequences. And it’s free :) Thanks to developpers I’m used to count on a real goban, so the functionnality is not a lack for me. One thing missing : to be able to save a situation / game (or import/export a file) . Look at iGan+ also free for 9x9 and 13x13

Nice but...

Smart goban. The rendering is realistic and the board is really beautiful. BUT there is one feature that should be modified (I would suggest to put it as an option) : inclining the IPad on the side makes all the stones disappear from the board ! This occurs SO often not on purpose that I do not understand why this feature is still there ! When I try to show the current game to friends not maintaining the iPad in horizontal position, the stones just fall down from the goban by gravity ! It is not possible studying tsumego while lying on the sofa ! Gravity is "realistic" but this feature is not desirable nor really useful. Would also be very useful to have the possibility to save the game in sgf format...
