HEARTMATH® SENSOR REQUIRED: This is the companion app to the Inner Balance sensor. This app requires any of the HeartMath Inner Balance sensors such as Bluetooth® or the Inner Balance Lightning sensor which connects to your phone and clips to your earlobe to measure your heart rhythms.

HOW TO CONNECT YOUR INNER BALANCE APP TO THE SENSOR
Inner Balance Bluetooth Sensor:
1. Clip the sensor to your earlobe and press the soft button on the sensor pod to activate a blue flashing light.
2. Open the Inner Balance app and press the “Start” arrow to make the app start scanning for the sensor.
3. Once you see your sensor ID number displayed and verify that it matches the number on the back side of the sensor pod, tap it to accept and wait 15-20 seconds for the device to calibrate and begin the first session.

Inner Balance Lightning Sensor:
1. Clip the sensor to your earlobe and press the soft button on the sensor pod to activate a blue flashing light.
2. Open the Inner Balance app and press the “Start” arrow to make the app start scanning for the sensor.
3. Once you see your sensor ID number displayed and verify that it matches the number on the back side of the sensor pod, tap it to accept and wait 15-20 seconds for the device to calibrate and begin the first session.

Accompagnement sonore

Un accompagnement sonore, non pas centré sur la performance - qu’il est préférable d’oublier pendant la séance - mais sur le cycle de la respiration, permettrait de fermer les yeux en se concentrant sur ses sensations. Un rythme comme l’aller retour des vagues, ou un chant grégorien, ou une musique abstraite, permettrait d’indiquer la période d’inspiration, puis d’expiration. Cela devrait bien sûr être adapté aux différentes techniques de respiration ( respiration “carrée “ par exemple) et ajustable en durée selon les personnes.
En se concentrant sur la respiration, la performance viendrait d’elle même. Tandis que la concentration sur la performance distrait de la concentration sur la respiration. Un coup d’œil toutes les minutes à la performance suffit.

Les évolutions majeures se font attendre

Grosse déception avec cette mise à jour : les développeurs au prix soin d’ajouter des guides de respiration alors que l’on trouve de nombreuses méthodes sur Internet. En revanche, aucune des évolutions attendues n’est présentes :

- La traduction de l’application en français (et en d’autres langues) promise depuis bientôt un an.
- Un signal sonore pour indiquer les phases d’inspiration et d’expiration afin de pouvoir pratiquer les yeux fermés.
