Description

AutNav is an app that brings together your favourite content, and keeps it all in one place. It was developed so that autistic people, including those in supported settings, could have more autonomy and easily use technology to pursue their interests and keep in touch with friends and family.

The app works by creating shortcuts to your chosen content, so that you have easy access to:

The music you want to listen to

The videos you want to see

The people you want to speak to

The websites you want to visit

AutNav is highly customisable, so you can modify it to suit your needs and preferences. It lets you organise your content in a way that makes sense to you, pick your favourite colour theme, and choose how much information you can see at once. You can also hide individual features depending on how you would like to interact with AutNav.

AutNav is specifically designed to work with the accessibility features already available on your device. It supports both light and dark mode, and is compatible with a range of different text sizes.

AutNav was commissioned by Scottish Autism and developed in partnership with the National Autistic Taskforce. The original AutNav concept was created by Dinah Murray.
